How do I apply?

A: Click on the 'Register your interest' section and complete and send the application forms.

How much does it cost?

A: It will cost £595 per school for one year- this could be paid by the school, Local Authority, SSAT, PTA, etc.

What does working for the PSQM award entail?

A:  You will need to attend professional development sessions, develop an action plan for science, reflect on the impact of your actions and gather evidence that can simply demonstrate this impact. Your submission is done on-line.

Will my cover costs be met by the project to attend the training days?

A: No- ask your hub leader for twilight sessions if you can not leave school

How long will the award last?

 A: The award lasts for 3 years from the point of completion. You will then be required to recertify for the same or a different award depending on circumstances. Some schools may choose to go straight on to the next level.

How much will it cost to recertify?

A: It will cost a minimum of £330 subject to negotiation and level of training required.

Does the size of my school matter?

 A: No, but if you are a very small school and are struggling to find funding please contact us

How long will it take to complete?

 A: The PSQM award takes a year ot achieve, but extensions can be negotiated if absolutely necessary

What equipment will I need as it is online?

 A: Access to the website is essential.A digital camera and a scanner will be useful.

Will there be an award ceremony?

A: Yes- these will be regional.

What evidence do I need to collect?

A: See the criteria guidance for each unit. There are core documents that will need to be uploaded which should include most of your evidence

How do I Login to the PSQM website?

Please note that your PSQM login is your ASE membership number which is usually prefixed with a capital M or S and then has between 4 and 6 numbers (no letters are used)

Your PSQM password is automatically generated and consists of a series of numbers and upper/lower case letters. If you are not sure whether you have been given a letter or a number you can check by using Tahoma font.
