Hub Leaders
How do I apply ?
A: You will need to:
- Read the person specification on the Register your interest section
- If you meet the criteria send in your application to s.j.taylor@herts.ac.uk
- Once we have notified you of your success you will need to attend a professional development session
- You can then start recruiting schools for your hub (minimum 2, maximum 10)
What qualifications do I need?
A: You will need to show that you meet the following criteria:
- Regularly led CPD in own school and beyond
- Have taught science to at least 2 different year groups in primary
- Evidence of sustainable school based science development (balance is 60/40 for primary/secondary)
- Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of current issues and good practice in primary science
- Experience of developing/mentoring colleagues
- ASE member (school or individual)
- Commitment to Primary Science Quality Mark scheme for minimum of one complete year
Will my cover costs be met by the project to attend training days?
A: No
Will I be paid for my time?
A: Yes £275 per school to cover:
- Facilitating professional development session
- Mentoring time
There is an additional payment for reviewing submssions.
